The Maldives scores 39/100 on the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index released by Transparency International , ranking 91 out of 182 countries. This stagnant score reflects ongoing governance challenges, including the centralization of executive power, shrinking civic space, and weakened independence of oversight institutions. From politicized appointments to opaque decision-making in state-owned enterprises, systemic vulnerabilities continue to undermine public trust and accountability. މިނިވަންކަމާއެކު ކޮރަޕްޝަން ހުއްޓުވުމަށް ކުރާ މަސައްކަތްތައް މަޑުޖެހިފައިވާކަން ހާމަކޮށްދޭ،ޓްރާންސްޕޭރެންސީ އިންޓާރނޭޝަނަލް އިން ނެރުނު 2025 ވަނަ އަހަރުގެ ކޮރަޕްޝަން ޕަރސެޕްޝަން އިންޑެކްސް (ސީ.ޕީ.އައި) ގައި ރާއްޖެއަށް ލިބިފައިވަނީ 100 އަކުން 39 މާކްސްއެވެ. މިއާއެކު ރާއްޖެ ރޭންކް ކުރެވިފައިވަނީ 182 ގައުމުގެ ތެރެއިން 91 ވަނައިގައެވެ. މި ނަތީޖާއިން ދައްކައިދެނީ ދައުލަތުގެ ބާރުތައް މަރުކަޒީވުމާއި، މަދަނީ މާހައުލާއި ނޫސްވެރިކަމުގެ މިނިވަންކަން ހަނިވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން ނިޒާމީ ގޮތުން ކޮރަޕްޝަނަށް މަގުފަހިވެފައިވާ މިންވަރެވެ. އަދި މިނިވަން މުއައްސަސާތަކުގެ މިނިވަންކަން ގެއްލި، ދައުލަތުގެ ކުންފުނިތަކާއި މަޝްރޫޢުތައް ހިންގުމުގައި ހާމަކަން ކުޑަވުމަކީ ރައްޔިތުންގެ އިތުބާރު ގެއްލިގެންދާ ކަންކަމެވެ. މުއައްސަސާތަކުގެ ނަޒާހަތްތެރިކަން އަލުން ގާއިމުކޮށް، ކޮރަޕްޝަނާ ދެކޮޅަށް ހަރުދަނާ ފިޔަވަޅުތަކެއް އެޅުމަށް މިޖަމްއިއްޔާއިން ގޮވާލަމެވެ.
