I. Organisational context

Transparency Maldives (TM) is a non-partisan organization that endeavours to be a constructive force in society by promoting collaboration and discussion on corruption, transparency, and accountability. Our organization seeks to engage with stakeholders from all sectors (government, business, political and civil society, among others) to raise awareness of corruption’s detrimental effects on development and society, improve transparency and accountability in governance, and eliminate corruption from the daily lives of people.
Transparency Maldives received formal government registration in 2007, and is the National Contact of Transparency International (TI) in the Maldives.

II. Assignment details

Following the publication of Transparency Maldives’ position paper on asset disclosure of public officials in December 2014, the organisation now seeks an individual/firm based in the Maldives to develop six 30-second advocacy videos to increase public awareness on illicit enrichment and undue advantage, and to pressure public officials to proactively make their asset declarations available to the public. TM already has an on-going #haamakurey campaign, and the videos produced under this assignment are expected to complement this campaign.

III. Duration of assignment

  • Completion of the work within 10 days of signing the contract.

IV. Consultant profile

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of campaign, preferably advocacy campaign with experience in social issues related awareness.
  • Strong knowledge in traditional and new media communications and technologies.
