Election observation is one of the flagship activities of Transparency Maldives. We aim to mobilize citizen voice and participation for free and fair electoral processes and have been involved in observing all major elections in the Maldives since our inception. During the electoral period, we also train and deploy long term observers across the country, conduct civic and voter education workshops targeting first time voters, and engage citizen journalists to monitor campaign finance.
