Transparency Maldives works to widen democratic space and protect human rights in the Maldives through partnership building, collective lobbying and advocacy and outreach activities across the Maldives. We engage with civil society, human rights activists, and state institutions to improve the current human rights situation in the Maldives and to create a culture that is more conducive to human rights. We also conduct training programs to advocate and lobby for human rights concerns of citizens.
In addition, we bring together stakeholders through conferences, panel discussions and forums to discuss and debate on urgent and prevalent human rights issues in the country and to collectively find ways to address these issues.
